Abstract:
Background and Aim: Odontoma is an asymptomatic, slow-growing odontogenic tumor. It is usually found accidentally in the maxilla or mandible on radiographs or when it deforms adjacent teeth. It is most commonly seen in patients 30 years of age or younger. Case Report : A 56-year-old man with a dentigerous cyst associated with complex odontoma in the incisive canal region. The patient was referred with slight swelling in foramen incision area. Under general anesthesia, the cyst was completely excised with excisional biopsy along with dental mass and during pathology evaluation, dentigerous cyst associated with complex odontoma was diagnosed. Conclusion: When surgeons encounter a patient with an odontogenic tumor, even if the patient is old, the odontoma should be placed in a differential diagnosis.
